Cooking classes for all ages. Located in Baltimore, Maryland, right on "The Ave" in Hampden. Vegetarian cooking classes, Couples Cooking Classes, and Summer Culinary Camps for Kids and Teens are also available.
Techniques Classes: Hands-on instruction focusing on a specific culinary topic. While there are tasty samples to try during the class, the classes do not typically end in a meal.
Menu-Based Classes: Students share in the preparation of the various dishes, finishing with a sit-down dinner. Try a Couples Cook version for you and your favorite cooking partner!

Join us in this advanced 3-part class as we explore Italy’s complex flavors and regional influences.
Italy's culinary traditions have been shaped by both the varied landscapes of each region and the country's rich history. For the purposes of this course, we will divide Italy into three large sections: Northern Italy (Italia settentrionale); Central Italy (Italia centrale); and Southern Italy (including Sicily [Sicilia] and Sardinia [Sardegna]), Italia Meridionale e le Isole or Il Mezzogiorno d’Italia. The course features hallmark dishes along with lectures and written resources that detail what makes each region unique.
This is an Intermediate level class for adults only, Preliminary reading materials are sent to students prior to the start of the course.
$240.00 per person for the 3-week series.
Due to limited spaces, classes at Baltimore Chef Shop are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, we will be happy to transfer your registration to a different class given 48-hours notice. While cancellations within 48 hours of the class are not eligible for transfers, we welcome you to send a friend in your place!
Classes are typically three hours and all ingredients, equipment, and supplies are provided. Starting in May 2018, all standard classes will be for adults only. For minors (ages 8-17), check out our Kids and Teen pages for our Parent and Me and Summer Culinary Camp class offerings. For safety purposes, kids age 7 and under are not permitted in the kitchens.
